Technology-Enhanced Learning

We design, deliver and evaluate effective kinds of representations and tools (e.g., multimedia virtual environments, digital libraries, wikis, blogs, robotics), to support and extend learning processes, such as scientific enquiry and meta-learning, to a range of learner groups.

We do research in areas including mobile learning, ubi-learning and e-learning, using a range of established (e.g., the web, CDs) and novel technologies (e.g., mobile devices, interactive TV, ubiquitous computing). Topics include pedagogical design, the role of aesthetics and usability in learning, persuasive technologies, playful and lifelong learning.
