Language Technology can add major value to both the creation, managing and retrieving of learning objects both from the perspective of the teacher, and the learner. In a multi-lingual context, NLP support tools can help people unlock information in a language that is not the one they are studying in. This kind of application is very much uncharted territory. In our part of the LT4eL
project, we are using scenarios to help envision how NLP tools can better support users in realistic tasks. We are also using those scenarios as the backbone for validation of the integrated system.
