Relating Problem and Solution Structures

Theme: Requirements Engineering
Funding Agency: EPSRC
Period: 2006-2009

We are investigating the rich relationships between software problem and solution structures. This includes investigating the iterative, incremental, and concurrent processes of developing requirements and architectures. We are interested in ways to exploit the relationship between software architectures and the structures of functional requirements that they support, and have examined these issues in the context of feature-based and product line development. Part of this research is being conducted in the EPSRC-funded project PASS - Relating Problem and Solution Structures in Feature-based Software Development. Contact: Bashar Nuseibeh
