This talk will present a set of works that we are conducting at University of Rennes 1 to simplify the design of self-adaptable systems when integrating Internet of Things and Cloud Computing. Our work rely on the firstname.lastname@example.org
approach to simplify the development of software taking automatic decisions to adapt the system to its environmental constraints. During this talk, I will present on going work on adapting email@example.com
approach to cope with the Internet of Things constraints. This will be followed by the presentation of a work which target resource reservation and monitoring that are of particular importance in this type of system to ensure safe execution. Finally, I will conclude the talk by presenting our on-going activities around the support of automatic decision making through the adaptation of Multi-objective Evolutionary Algorithms to make them appropriate for runtime usage.
Johann Bourcier is an Associate Professor at the University of Rennes 1. He received his Ph.D. degree in 2008 from the University of Grenoble 1. His research interests include the use of software components to for the development of highly dynamic and distributed applications.
