EOARD is a detachment of the US Air Force Office of Scientific Research (AFOSR), one of ten directorates of the Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL). Our mission is to directly support AFRL research goals by: Providing liaison with members of the European scientific community; Facilitating contact between AF scientists and their European counterparts; and Contracting with European scientists to conduct research or support conferences and workshop. We do this through our three main programs: Window on Science (WOS), Conference Support (CSP) and Research Contracts. BIO: Dr. Lawton is the Chief of Information Technology Research at EOARD, with a background in computer science, specifically Artificial Intelligence. He has worked for AFRL for more than 25 years, most recently at EOARD. The research areas his IT program includes: Formal Software Engineering, Planning and Scheduling for Command and Control (C2) Systems, Complex Networks and Cybersecurity. These and other on-going research topics will be discussed in this talk.
