Issues Involving Variability and Software Architecture
Meeting Room 10, 2nd Floor, JLB
12:30pm - 13:45pm
Hugo Andrade is a MSc student in Computer Science at the Federal University of Bahia (UFBA/Brazil)
As companies are more dependent on software, a number of approaches appeared in the Software Engineering scenario to increase the quality of the products developed and lower their time-to-market. One of such approaches is Software Product Line (SPL), which systematically takes advantage of common and variable aspects of different products within a domain. This talk will discuss the current research activity on architecture: a key aspect in SPL engineering. Furthermore, it will explore the implications of designing and managing software architecture in a variability-based environment, with focus on evaluation.
Hugo's research interests include empirical methods, software requirements and architecture, project risk management and reuse.
